Karen is a Registered Paralegal, working for Sheehan Phinney primarily in Intellectual Property, but she also has experience with liquor licensing and other corporate work. Karen is the past President of the Paralegal Association of New Hampshire. Her opinion article, New Class of Legal Professionals Could Help Close Justice Gap, has been published by the National Federation of Paralegals and the New Hampshire Bar Association. She has also worked to expand access to justice in New Hampshire for self-represented litigants, working with a number of courts and members of the legal community in this endeavor. Karen currently sits on the Paralegal Studies Advisory Boards for NHTI, Nashua Community College, and Middlesex Community College.

Karen has over fifteen years of experience in Intellectual Property law, including trademarks, patents, and acquisition matters. Karen is experienced in working with clients and attorneys in managing intellectual property portfolios of all sizes and compositions. She is also familiar with contracts, assignments and intellectual property transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and sales.

Karen has a Registered Paralegal Designation with the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. and earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Northeastern University.
