(11/21/2022, Manchester, NH) – Sheehan Phinney attorney Andrea G. Chatfield has been recognized with the Ry Perry HR Hero Award at the 2022 Granite State HR Conference, Manchester NH. The award is given each year to just one Granite State HR Hero who takes pride in advancing the HR profession, devoting valuable time to volunteering in their community.
Chatfield, a member of Sheehan Phinney’s Labor and Employment Group, provides advice and guidance to employers on risk management issues in the workplace. This includes both day-to-day personnel decisions that can have a high degree of liability if not done carefully, and high-level policy-making decisions, such as developing employee handbooks, executive employment agreements, non-competition agreements, social media policies, and other organizational protocols. She has successfully represented employers of all types and sizes before administrative agencies in discrimination, whistleblower, unemployment, and wage disputes.
Chatfield has been recognized for her work in Employment Law by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers of America®, and was named a Best Lawyers in America® 2019 “Lawyer of the Year”. She served as the NH State Council Legislative Director and is the State Council’s representative on the NH Legislative Task Force on Work and Family. She also serves as Vice Chair for the NH BIA’s ‘HR, Health Care & Workforce Development Policy Committee’ and was recently recognized with their 2022 Above and Beyond Award. Chatfield received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Suffolk University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law.
