Sheehan Phinney Successfully Wins $2 Million Guardianship Case

(Boston, MA, November 2019) – Sheehan Phinney litigators Charles M. Waters and John-Mark Turner won for their client $2 million in a partial settlement of on-going litigation in Massachusetts Probate Court.  Specifically, Sheehan Phinney’s client was a ward in a $40 million guardianship estate. The Court-appointed Guardians of the ward failed to account for the financial assets in the estate for 15 years and, when they did, millions of dollars were missing from the ward’s institutional accounts. Separately, the case continues relating to the accounting of various trusts in which the ward was a beneficiary.
