Cook Named to Easterseals Affiliate Relations Committee

(2/4/2019, Manchester, NH) – Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green shareholder Bradford E. Cook has been named to the Affiliate Relations Committee of the Easterseals National Board.

For 100 years, Easterseals has served as a resource for individuals with disabilities, veterans, seniors and their families. Through 71 affiliates in communities nationwide, it serves 1.5M people through high-quality programs including autism services, early intervention, workforce development, adult day care and more.

Cook is head of the firm’s Estate Planning and Probate, Government Relations and Not-for-Profit, Charitable and Religious Institutions Practice Groups. He is a past President of the firm and has practiced with Sheehan Phinney since 1973. His list of professional and civic involvements is extensive. He currently serves as General Counsel to Easter Seals New Hampshire, and is Chair of the Warren B. Rudman Center Campaign. He serves as secretary of the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund, Camp Fatima and Camp Bernadette of the Diocese of Manchester. Cook also is a member of both the Steering Committee of the New Hampshire Forum on the Future and the Board of Directors of Canterbury Shaker Village. He has served as Chair of the Easter Seals Vermont Board of Directors, Chair of the Easter Seals New York Board and on the Easter Seals Connecticut Board of Directors. He is a member and Chair of the N.H. Ballot Law Commission on which he also served in the 1980s. He is a board member and Secretary of the Board of the Taylor Community in Laconia.  He is a past President of the UNH Alumni Association.

In 2015 Cook received the NH BIA Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2012, he was named to Business NH Magazine’s “2012 Influencer Index ” as a “Political and Nonprofit Maestro”, in 2011 he received the Good Samaritan Award from Pastoral Counseling Services, and in 2008 he received the BIA’s Above and Beyond Award. In 2001, Cook was recognized by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce as its Citizen of the Year. That same year, he received the Eugene M. Van Loan III Leadership Award from Easter Seals New Hampshire. In 2012 he was the National Easter Seals ‘Volunteer of the Year’. Cook received his B.A., summa cum laude, (Phi Beta Kappa), from the University of New Hampshire and his J.D. from Cornell University Law School.
