(February 1, 2024, Manchester, NH, Boston, MA) – Sheehan Phinney is pleased to announce that shareholder Michael J. Lambert has been elected President and Managing Director. In this position Lambert also serves as Chair of the Firm’s Management Committee. Sheehan Phinney’s Management Committee oversees the administrative and business functions and strategic planning initiatives for the Firm’s five regional offices and over 75 attorneys.
Changes to the Firm’s five-person Management Committee were also announced with Robert H. Miller serving as Chair of the Litigation Department; Mark J. Ventola as Chair of the Corporate Department, and Courtney H.G Herz as the new ‘At-Large’ member for the Firm’s New Hampshire offices. Karen A. Whitley will continue her role as ‘At-Large’ member for the Firm’s Boston office, and Paul E. Voegelin as the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer.
David W. McGrath, serving as President and Managing Director from 2015 – 2023, and as a member of the Firm’s Management Committee since 2006, states: “I’m proud to have served as Sheehan Phinney’s President and Managing Director for the past 9 years. Lambert has served on the Firm’s Management Committee since 2015, most recently as Chair of the Litigation Department. His practice includes providing legal counsel and advocacy for businesses and individuals and includes the areas of: employment law; entity formation and governance; disputes between co-owners of businesses; insurance coverage and defense; and contract negotiation, drafting and enforcement. Lambert has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his work in business litigation, and was named one of Boston Magazines Top Lawyers for 2021 and 2022. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Concord, MA Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of the Holy Cross Alumni Association. Lambert has previously served as an Advocacy Lawyer for the Harvard Law School Advocacy Program, on the Ethics Committee of The Boston Home, a long-term health care facility for physically disabled adults, and on the Board of Directors for Concord Carlisle Youth Lacrosse. He received his J.D., cum laude, from New England Law | Boston, and his B.A. from the College of Holy Cross.
