Over the past decade, Bry has helped clients resolve high-stakes legal disputes-bringing a practical, strategic mindset to litigation throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. As a Shareholder at Sheehan Phinney, Bry’s litigation practice spans a wide range of matters, including business and commercial disputes, environmental litigation, patent litigation, construction law, and guardianship matters.

KEY CASES
  • Successfully argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court on behalf of a group of commercial tenants against their landlord who had breached their lease agreements.

  • Successfully defended former owner/high-level executive of a for-profit hospital group against a $2.4 million dollar contribution claim, limiting liability award to ten percent, later substantially reduced in settlement.

  • Part of patent litigation team representing a leader of fully automated, high-precision, high-speed die bonding and epoxy dispensing systems that successfully won the country’s first-ever bench trial held on the issue of IPR estoppel and after five years of litigation, successfully defended a $40 million dollar claim by obtaining summary judgment based on patent invalidity.

  • Successfully argued before the District of New Hampshire with the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of a noncriminal noncitizen to obtain habeas relief after her due process rights had been violated when she was detained in ICE’s custody for over 10 months.
