The IP Group handles patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing and other transactions involving technology and intellectual property rights, litigation, strategic portfolio development, risk analysis and mitigation, opinion drafting, and other matters involving intellectual property. Clients of the IP group come from across the globe and include large and mid-sized companies, world class educational institutions, start-ups, and individuals. The IP group has been widely recognized for its quality work, including having been ranked as a Band 1 (“Best in Field”) practice group by Chambers and Partners, an authority on global legal rankings.
O’Sullivan advises clients on intellectual property protection strategies with a particular emphasis on patents and trademarks, strategic portfolio development, risk analysis and mitigation, and related counseling. He has experience advising clients on a wide range of technologies including electrical, mechanical, optical, computer hardware, and computer software. O’Sullivan has been named a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers for his work in Intellectual Property. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark, and his B.E. in Electrical engineering from Maritime College in New York.
