Alex serves as Chair of the firm’s Business Transactions Group. He has been representing emerging companies and entrepreneurial individuals and helping them achieve their business goals for 30 years. He works with clients in a variety of industries, including technology, media, life sciences, business services, education, real estate investment, and manufacturing.
Alex assists clients throughout the life cycle of their businesses, from initial formation and seed funding to angel and venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions. Along the way, he helps develop governance structures, establish equity-based compensation arrangements, and negotiate technology development, licensing and distribution arrangements. He regularly serves as outside general counsel and provides practical advice on day-to-day legal issues. Alex seeks to develop long-term working relationships with his clients, and has worked with many companies from inception through successful sale.
