Deniz is an associate at the firm’s Boston office.  Deniz’s practice encompasses a wide variety of litigation matters, working with both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation matters. Her practice involves representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes before state and federal trial and appeals courts, administrative tribunals, arbitrators, and in mediation. Deniz represents clients in employment litigation, partnership disputes, intellectual property, internal investigations, insurance disputes, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, defamation, closely held business disputes, construction-related litigation, collections matters, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and a wide variety of contract disputes.

Deniz represents a diverse client base that includes professionals, employers, institutions, closely-held businesses, insurance companies, public sector employers, and other organizations and individuals. Prior to joining the firm, she was a legal extern for the Honorable Patti B. Saris of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, providing her with unique exposure to the judicial process.

Key Cases

  • Part of patent litigation team representing a leader of fully automated, high-precision, high-speed die bonding and epoxy dispensing systems that successfully won the country’s first-ever bench trial held on the issue of IPR estoppel and after five years of litigation, successfully defended a $40 million dollar claim by obtaining summary judgment based on patent invalidity.
  • Successfully represented individual employee against former employer in wrongful termination action.
  • Successfully represented staffing company in breach of contract claim for failure to pay for medical staffing services pursuant to contract.
  • Successfully defended founder and minority shareholder of a medical device manufacturing company in October 2018 arbitration before AAA for claims of breach of the non-solicitation provision of shareholder’s agreement, breach of fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment.
  • Won arbitration award in a June 2017 American Arbitration Association hearing in Boston representing a former general partner of a Boston private equity firm for monies owed to him pursuant to his interest in a limited partnership investment fund.

Civic Involvement

  • Deniz regularly acts as pro bono counsel representing immigrants at bond hearings before the Boston Immigration Court, and assists individuals who seek asylum in the United States.
