Practice Focus
Peter regularly represents start-up, closely-held, family-owned and non-profit enterprises; business owners; medical groups and long-term and specialty care facilities. Since joining Sheehan Phinney in 1984, he has counseled a broad array of clients in connection with organizational, succession, tax and business planning, and governance issues, and handles debt and equity financings, contract matters, buy-in/buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory matters.

Honors
He was named as one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward White for corporate law in 2007. He was also named a New England Super Lawyer in the area of business and corporate law.
Memberships and Admissions
Peter is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and participates in that organization’s Corporate, Banking and Business Law Section and its Health Law Section. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire.
Community Involvement
Peter’s involvement in community activities is extensive. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Capitol Center for the Arts; the former Chair of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Corporate, Banking and Business Law Section; and a former Secretary and Director of the New Hampshire International Trade Association. He also has served as a member of Congressman John Sununu’s Small Business Advisory Group, on the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Committee, and on the Tax Base Expansion Task Force of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Peter is a former president of the Manchester Rotary Club and was named a Paul Harris Fellow by that organization in 1997.
