Practice Focus

The senior partner of our firm, Kimon’s practice encompasses corporate, banking and estate planning law. In addition to a legal career which spans nearly fifty years, Kimon also has dedicated his personal time to the State of New Hampshire and to countless business, civic and cultural organizations.

From 1965-1966, Kimon served as a White House Fellow as a special assistant to U.S. Attorney General Katzenbach. He served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1969 through 1974, where he was Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Majority Leader and Deputy Speaker.

He has been instrumental in integrating the firm’s legal services with those of accounting and financial managers as well.

Honors

Kimon has been the recipient of a long list of awards. He was named Lawyer of the Year by the Manchester Bar Association in 1982, Citizen of the Year by the Manchester Chamber of Commerce in 1985 and, in 1987, was given the Distinguished Citizen Award by the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America. In 1994, he was named Business Leader of the Year by Business New Hampshire magazine and the New Hampshire Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. The year 1998 brought him the Leadership Award for Business in the Arts. In 2000, Kimon was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Business and Industry Association and, in 2001, received the Good Samaritan Award for public service. He was recognized by his peers in 2003 as Public Citizen No. 1 in a poll conducted by the New Hampshire Bar Association and published in New Hampshire Magazine. He has and honorary LL.D., Southern New Hampshire University, and an honorary LL.D., St. Anselm's College. He was named as one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward White for trusts and estates and was also named a New England Super Lawyer.

Memberships and Admissions

Kimon is a member of the New Hampshire and American Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court. In 2001, he was appointed by the New Hampshire Bar Association to the, then, newly created Judicial Conduct Committee.

Community Involvement

Well known for his leadership and philanthropy, Kimon is a Director of Hitchiner Manufacturing Company and a former Director of New England Telephone Company, Merchants Bank, First NH Bank, the Bank of Ireland and Citizens Bank. He is a Trustee and Past President of the Board of the Currier Gallery of Art, a Trustee of Southern New Hampshire University, a former Director and Chairman of the New Hampshire Charitable Fund, a Trustee of Endowment Funds and former Director of Havenwood Heritage Heights Retirement Community, a Trustee of Trust Funds of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and a former Trustee and President of the Manchester YMCA. He also serves as a member of the Legislative Ethics Committee, a member of the Greater Manchester Hellenic Scholarship Committee, and as a Director for the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies.
