Practice Focus
John-Mark joined Sheehan Phinney’s Litigation Group in September 2002. He has worked on a variety of matters in both state and federal courts with a focus on commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, John-Mark served as law clerk to the Hon. Michael Murphy, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
John-Mark’s practice also concentrates on insurance and ERISA litigation, intellectual property litigation and tax litigation. While in law school, John-Mark was an Executive Editor for the California Law Review.
- Successfully defended insurer from disability benefits claim at both the trial and appellate levels. Cases reported at Wright v. R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. Group Benefits Plan, 402 F.3d 67 (1st Cir. 2005) and Kenna v. Hartford Life & Acc. Ins. Co., 2005 WL 2175158 (D.N.H. Sept. 6, 2005).
- Acted as appellate counsel to New Hampshire coffee roaster in trademark infringement and dilution suit brought by large coffee retailer.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of multi-state credit card processing company in Business Profits Tax dispute.

Community Involvement
John-Mark is on the Board of Directors of the Farnum Center, a treatment center for individuals dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.
