Fierman was elected Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of The Boston Club, an influential community of women leaders, offering connection, access and professional development. Fierman will serve a two year term and will continue to sit on its Governance Committee.
Fierman's practice focuses on closely held businesses, including family owned businesses: their formation, succession planning, contracts, leases, acquisitions and sales, as well as issues which arise in their daily operations. It includes regional, national and international businesses in the life sciences, technology, real estate, manufacturing, consumer goods, construction, design services, marketing and consulting fields. Before joining the firm in 2008, she was one of the founding partners of the law firm Cohen & Fierman, LLP. Fierman is currently a member, and Chairman for the Town of Brookline Building Commission and was a member and Hearing Officer for the State Examiners Board for Plumbers & Gasfitters. She has also served as a member of the Boston Bar Association's Diversity Committee, a member of the Boston Bar Journal Board of Editors, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Runkle School Extended Day Program.
