(November 23, 2004. Manchester, NH.) - Robert H. Miller, a recently elected partner with the law firm of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass + Green, has been invited onto the Board of Directors of YMCA Camp Belknap in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Camp Belknap, which celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2003, is one of the oldest boys' summer camps in the United States. Miller spent 13 summers at Camp Belknap as a camper, counselor, division head and assistant waterfront director.
As a civil litigator, Miller focuses his practice on intellectual property disputes and other large-scale commercial litigation in the state and federal courts. He also is one of New Hampshire's foremost experts on the scope and application of the New Hampshire Consumer Protection Act.
Named as one of 2004's "40 Under Forty" emerging young leaders, Miller currently sits on the Board of Directors for Leadership Manchester, serves as an Allocations Team Captain for the Greater Manchester United Way, and as a member of the City of Manchester's "One Book, One City" Selection Committee and Board of Directors. He also is the Vice-President of the Yale Club of New Hampshire, and a member of the Club's Executive Committee.
Miller is also the author of a series of graduate school preparatory books including the best selling Law School Confidential: A Complete Guide to the Law School Experience By Students for Students (rev. 2004); Business School Confidential: A Complete Guide to the Business School Experience By Students for Students, which he co-authored (2003); and Med School Confidential: A Complete Guide to the Medical School Experience By Students for Students (2005). A fourth book, College Confidential: A Complete Guide to the College Experience By Students for Students, detailing the college experience, will be published in 2006.
Miller received his B.A. with distinction from Yale University, and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After graduating, he served as law clerk to the Hon. Chief Judge Paul J. Barbadoro of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
