This three part series will focus on the issues concerning copyright ownership and protection, licensing of certain intellectual property rights and issues related to the Internet.
The first of the series, Copyright Overview - It's Mineā¦No it's Mine, will be presented by Sheehan Phinney attorneys Douglas Verge and Daniel Fink. Topics included are:
- The nature of copyright and what it protects
- The economic and moral rights protected under copyright laws
- The nature of derivative works
- The work made for hire doctrine and the impact of contractual and employment relationships
- The nature of fair use
