This new partnership brings together some of New Hampshire's most well-known and well-respected government affairs people.
Murphy Public Affairs lobbyists Liz Murphy, Henry Veilleux and Kathleen Veracco will join Capitol Group lobbyists Bruce Berke and Valerie Acres in this new partnership.

Valerie J. Acres served as legal counsel to Gov. Judd Gregg and practiced law in New Hampshire for four years before devoting her time exclusively to government relations. Valerie has represented clients before the state legislature and regulatory agencies since 1995. Her primary focus is on healthcare, insurance and human resource issues for a number of associations and companies.
Bruce A. Berke has participated in New Hampshire's political and legislative process since 1980 and began his lobbying career in 1988 as legislative lobbyist for the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA). In 1991, Bruce founded Capitol Consultants of NH, now merged into Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group. He has represented businesses and associations on many issues, including taxes and other state revenues, environmental regulations, corporate ownership and governance, and electric utility restructuring.
Liz Murphy began Elizabeth Murphy Associates in 1991 (later becoming Murphy Public Affairs Inc.). From 1986 to 1990, she represented a variety of clients as vice president of BMc Strategies. There, Murphy successfully developed and directed community relations and government affairs for New Hampshire Yankee, the company responsible for building and managing the Seabrook Station nuclear power plant. Prior to joining BMc Strategies, Murphy was government relations consultant to the BIA.
Elizabeth C. Sargent joined the firm in 1997. She lobbies for several clients, including the NH Association of Chiefs of Police and the NH Funeral Directors. Beth is currently a member of the legislative committee of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and she is a graduate of Plymouth State College.
Henry G. Veilleux joined Murphy Public Affairs in 1999. His experience includes managing legislative issues in the state legislature and regulatory matters before the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission. Formerly with the BIA, he represented the group in negotiations with several electric utilities on competitive industry restructuring issues.
Kathleen M. Veracco joined Murphy Public Affairs after a successful 26-year career as public affairs director for NYNEX/Bell Atlantic. Her vast experience includes management of regulatory and legislative issues, coupled with her public relations and community relations experience, has made Veracco one of New Hampshire's most respected lobbyists.
