(August 24, 2006. Manchester, NH.) - Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green's 17th Annual Public Sector Employment Law Update has been scheduled for Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Event Center at C.R. Sparks in Bedford. As with past years, this seminar will provide timely and practical guidance on employment law issues for municipal, county and school district employers. In addition, Don Mitchell of the NH Public Employee Labor Relations Board will present information on the Board's procedures and practices.
Topics covered will include: selected procedures and practices before the PELRB, legislative developments, public sector negotiations in an era of accelerating benefit costs, recent developments in labor and employment law, the Garcetti decision, just-cause considerations in disciplinary hearings, wage and hour developments and the implications of the White decision.
The seminar takes place on Thursday, October 5, at The Event Center at C.R. Sparks, Kilton Road in Bedford, NH. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.; with the program running from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Seminar tuition is $155 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and seminar materials.
