(August 11, 2006. Lebanon, NH.) - Sean Gorman, an attorney with Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, was recently elected a shareholder of the firm. Gorman has worked for the firm since 2002.

Sean's practice focuses on representation of schools and colleges, employment counseling and representation in state and federal employment-related matters, representation of health care organizations and other non-profits, zoning and land use matters, and intellectual property. He frequently speaks to business organizations and writes articles on topics related to his areas of practice.
Before joining Sheehan Phinney, Gorman was an associate general counsel at Dartmouth College for 18 years. Sean is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont. He is a 1976 magna cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., where he was a Rufus Choate Scholar (Top 5 percent GPA). He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1981, where he won the Llewellyn Moot Court Competition.
Sean is a member of the NH Bar Association, the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the River Valley Human Resources Association, the Upper Valley Computer Industry Association, and the Hanover and Lebanon Chambers of Commerce. He has been a trustee and served as secretary for The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT, since 2002. He also served as a Board Member of the United Way of the Upper Valley from 1987 to 1991.
