(August 30, 2006. Manchester, NH.) - Rob Miller, a shareholder with Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, recently published his fourth book, and the final installment of his "Confidential" higher education series.
Campus Confidential, which tracks what students need to do to get into and thrive in college, was published on July 11, 2006. The book is a survival guide for all those facing the prospect of going to college and how to maximize opportunities while there.
According to the publisher's book description: "Campus Confidential is the ultimate insider's guide to surviving and thriving in college. … Campus Confidential offers a comprehensive, chronological treatment of the college experience by the author, a Yale graduate, and a blue-ribbon panel of 14 diverse "mentors from colleges and universities around the country. However, this is not just another fluff-filled freshman handbook. Campus Confidential is the complete guide to the college experience — providing solid, road-tested advice for every stage of the process, from high school students getting ready to apply, to college seniors looking for jobs or applying to graduate school, and everything in between."
This book follows on the heels of three previous installments in the "Confidential" higher education series: Law School Confidential (2000), Business School Confidential (2003), and Medical School Confidential (2006), all of which have been published since Miller arrived as SPB+G in 1999. Since the release of Campus Confidential, he has been sought after by various media outlets and has been featured in the New Hampshire Union Leader, NH Public Radio and National Public Radio.
Miller, whose practice focus includes appellate practice, commercial disputes, intellectual property litigation, zoning, planning and land use issues and constitutional litigation, is very active in the local community. He presently serves as president and is on the executive committee of the Yale Club of New Hampshire, on the board of directors of Leadership Manchester, on the board of directors of Camp Belknap, and as community allocations team captain for the United Way of Greater Manchester (NH).
Miller was named "Forty Under 40" in 2004 by the New Hampshire Union Leader. While at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, he was appointed an H. Clayton Louderback Instructor in Legal Writing, served as Chairman of the law school's Committee on Honors and Academic Standing and was Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
