(June 13, 2007. Manchester, NH.) - Attorney Robert Dastin, a partner at Sheehan Phinney, was recently awarded the Governor Wentworth Achievement Award by the National Guard Association of New Hampshire.
The award honors an individual who has supported the U.S. government or armed forces with sustained and exceptional service. As part of the presentation, the Association cited Dastin's "extraordinary vision, leadership, dedication, and personal sacrifice over the past two decades" as well as his "shining example of service before self and visible patriotism."
A retired Brigadier General and former Assistant Adjutant General in the New Hampshire Air National Guard, Dastin served as the State Chair of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves, former chair and current board member of the N.H. Veterans Count and is currently the Director of Selective Service in NH. Dastin is a member of Sheehan Phinney's Corporate Group and focuses his professional practice in the areas of corporate law, small business representation, not-for-profit organizations and transportation law. He is a member of the New Hampshire and American Bar Associations and throughout his career has given a tremendous amount of personal time to the Greater Manchester community.
The National Guard Association of New Hampshire is made up of officers from both the Army and Air National guard and was formed to serve as an advocate for the National Guard at both state and federal levels.
