| (June 28, 2011, Manchester, NH) - Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA shareholder Peter A. Nieves was selected among 39 emerging and established community leaders selected for the 2012 class of Leadership New Hampshire.
Celebrating its 20th year, Leadership New Hampshire has nearly 600 alumni, individuals who are working to strengthen New Hampshire communities and increase civic engagement. Those selected for the program include men and women from across New Hampshire who will participate in an intensive 9 month program. These individuals were selected through a highly competitive process and will begin their unique educational journey this fall with an opening retreat. Graduates hold leadership positions in the private, nonprofit, and governmental sectors across the Granite State.
Nieves, the head of the firm's Patents Group, is an experienced patent attorney whose practice focuses on many aspects of intellectual property including: domestic and foreign preparation and prosecution of patents; domestic and foreign preparation and prosecution of trademarks; licensing; legal opinions concerning patents; trademarks; copyrights; and disputes concerning patents, trademarks, copyrights, and domain names. He is a frequent guest speaker at multiple Universities and other forums, and he is an adjunct professor of UNH School of Law.
