(January 24, 2008. Wellesley, MA.) - Sheehan Phinney Attorney John Perten will teach as an adjunct professor for Babson College's M.B.A. program.
The course, "Managing the Legal Environment of Business," is offered by Babson College in both the fall and spring semesters. Located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Babson College is recognized internationally for its entrepreneurial leadership in a changing global environment. The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College cultivates entrepreneurial thinking that students can apply in start-up ventures and the corporate environment. There are four degree programs that prepare it's 1600 students to become superior managers and able to meet the needs of progressive organizations.
Perten is a member of the Litigation and Business Departments and works from the firm's Boston office. He has a complex business litigation and transactional practice and provides representation to clients in a wide variety of settings including construction projects, business transactions, real estate ventures and environmental remediation projects. He is a member of the Associated Builders & Contractors, the Construction Specifications Institute and the Builders Association of Greater Boston. Perten is an adjunct faculty member at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, teaching business law classes in both the undergraduate and graduate M.B.A. programs. He is also a frequent author and lecturer on issues relating to the construction industry. He received his B.A. from Cornell University and his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University School of Law.
