(January 14, 2008. Manchester, NH.) - David W. Allen, an attorney with the law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA has been selected to participate on a judges panel for the 5th Annual LifeSmarts State Championship for high school students on March 12, 2008.
LifeSmarts is a program of the National Consumers League, in patnership with nonprofit education groups such as NH Jumpstart. LifeSmarts teaches teens to be smart, responsible and successful consumers and citizens by focusing on five key areas of consumer knowledge they need to know - Personal Finance, Health and Safety, the Environment, Technology, and Consumer Rights and Responsibilities. Members of a NH LifeSmarts team study together under the supervision of an adult coach and compete online for the right to face off against other teams in the State Championship, which will be held at Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH. The State Champion will represent New Hampshire at the National Championship in Minneapolis in April.
Allen is a member of Sheehan Phinney's Corporate Department where he assists companies of all sizes with matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, commercial contracts and securities regulation. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
