Reidy of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, will make presentations to the American Camping Association of New England's one-day professional seminar on Friday November 4th. These presentations will cover topics including: recruitment, retention and other common employment and liability issues.
The American Camp Association™, of New England is community of camp professionals who, for more than one hundred years, have joined together to share knowledge and experience and to ensure the quality of camp programs. ACA New England accredits nearly 350 day and resident summer camps in the six New England states and serves nearly 900 members.
Attorney Cook, a Partner and member of Sheehan's Corporate group, will speak on dealing with sexual abuse and issues currently confronted by both for-profit and not-for-profit camps.
Attorney Reidy, a Partner and member of Sheehan's Labor and Employment Law Group, will present an employment session focused on personnel issues facing camps, including hiring, firing, discipline, annual reviews, international staff immigration issues and more. Reidy's presentation will include an interactive presentation known as " HR Trivial Dispute: Common Workplace Problems and how to avoid them."
The seminar will take place on Friday, November 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Burlington, Massachusetts.
