(June 13, 2005. Manchester, NH.) - Susan A. Manchester, a partner with the law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, was recently elected as a new member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. She is the first woman in the state to join the nationwide organization.
The College was founded in 1978 to meet the need for an organization with a membership limited to persons of proven leadership who can speak effectively on issues of real estate law, regulation and practice. College membership is by invitation only and is limited to persons who have established expertise in real estate law, who observe high standards of professional and ethical conduct, who have contributed substantially to improvement of real estate law and practice and who have a minimum of ten years experience in real estate law.
Only the fourth attorney from New Hampshire to be elected and the first woman representative of the state, attorney Manchester received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Brown University and her J.D. from Boston University. Her areas of practice include: Commercial Real Estate; Commercial Lending; Commercial Leasing; Condominium Law and Land Use. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Heritage United Way and an active member of the Manchester Rotary Club. She has been recognized as one of "America's Leading Business Lawyers" in Chambers USA 2003-2004.
