(September 21, 2005. Manchester, NH.) - Attorney Bob Dastin, a partner in the law firm Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA, was recently named Vice Chair of the Greater Manchester Sports Council Board of Directors.
A newly established organization, the Council is comprised of a group of local business leaders, working to support and promote partnering and hosting sporting and performance events in the City of Manchester.
The Council recently hosted the "Economic Summit on Sports" on September 16,2005 where it presented information concerning the economic impact sports can have on a community's development the opportunities it presents and the overall impact it can have on the quality of life in the community. Larry Lucchino, President and CEO of the World Champion Boston Red Sox delivered the keynote address.
Attorney Dastin is a member of Sheehan Phinney's Corporate Group and focuses his professional practice in the areas of corporate law, small business representation, not-for-profit organizations and transportation law. He is a member of the New Hampshire and American Bar Associations and throughout his career has given a tremendous amount of personal time to the Greater Manchester community. In addition to his new role with the sports council, he currently serves as: a Director of New Hampshire Catholic Charities; a Trustee and Vice Chairman of Camp Belknap (YMCA); President and a Director of the Kevin T.
