Harvell of Kittery, Maine, a shareholder with the firm, has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, a national research firm. Harvell is one of 23 SPB+G attorneys to be honored for their outstanding work and distinguished reputations. Harvell was named to the list for his commercial litigation law practice. Nearly half of the firm's 49 attorneys in New Hampshire made the 2007 list.
Harvell has built a substantial litigation practice since joining Sheehan Phinney in 1975. His work includes extensive trial experience, with special emphasis on stockholder and partnership disputes. He also serves as general outside counsel to companies ranging in size from $1 million to nearly $100 million in revenues.
Harvell is a 1968 graduate from Yale University and graduated from Boston University Law School in 1975.
Of the 23 attorneys named to the list, 22 are shareholders with the firm (with one being "of counsel"), eight are on the list for the first time, seven have been on the list at least 10 years, and three have been on the list for at least 20 years.
