(September 5, 2006. Manchester, NH.) - Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green Attorney Kenneth A. Viscarello of Manchester, a shareholder with the firm, has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, a national research firm. Viscarello is one of 23 SPB+G attorneys to be honored for their outstanding work and distinguished reputations. Viscarello was named to the list for his real estate law practice. Nearly half of the firm's 49 attorneys in New Hampshire made the 2007 list.
Viscarello is the chair of the firm's corporate department. He has a diverse practice concentrating in affordable housing development utilizing low-income housing tax credits. Viscarello also represents a number of contractors and developers in the preparation and negotiation of construction and architect's contracts. In addition, he represents regional and national commercial lenders in connection with complex lending transactions.
Viscarello graduated from Boston College in 1983 and received his JD from there in 1986.
Of the 23 attorneys named to the list, 22 are shareholders with the firm (with one being "of counsel"), eight are on the list for the first time, seven have been on the list at least 10 years, and three have been on the list for at least 20 years.
Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definite guide to legal excellence in the United States. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which 16,000 leading attorneys throughout the country cast more than a half million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."
