(September 5, 2007. Manchester, NH.) - Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green attorney John Peltonen has again been included in The Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, a national research firm. Peltonen is one of 22 SPB+G attorneys to be honored this year and was named to the list for his work in environmental law.
Peltonen has practiced law since 1967. During this time, his practice has included representation of business and municipal clients in a wide range of commercial and personal injury litigation and, over the past 20 years, of environmental matters. His practice is focused on environmental compliance, permitting, the development of remedial alternatives, the redevelopment of contaminated properties and litigation. In addition, he has developed a mediation practice covering all aspects of environmental, commercial and personal injury litigation. He earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College, his M.A. in political science from the University of Arkansas, and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."
