(February 28, 2006. Concord, NH.) - The Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications in Manchester recognized Liz Murphy, a member of Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group in Concord, for her contributions to the schools First Amendment Honors Dinner. School president and its board chairman Joseph McQuaid cited Murphy for her leadership during the past three years. Murphy has been an active in planning and fund-raising for the annual event.

Before joining SPCG, she began Elizabeth Murphy Associates in 1991 (later becoming Murphy Public Affairs Inc.). From 1986 to 1990, she represented a variety of clients as vice president of BMc Strategies. There, Murphy successfully developed and directed community relations and government affairs for New Hampshire Yankee, the company responsible for building and managing the Seabrook Station nuclear power plant. Before joining BMc Strategies, Murphy was government relations consultant to the BIA.
