(March 1, 2005. Manchester, NH.) - Attorney James P. Reidy, who chairs the Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Group at Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA, will be one of the featured presenters at the 4th Annual Labor and Employment Law Update sponsored by the New Hampshire Bar Association. Mr. Reidy, together with Attorney Nancy Richards-Stower, will address federal and state employment law cases concerning gender discrimination, retaliation, and remedies and damages, as well as the taxation of settlements.
This full-day seminar will address recent developments and updates in the law and cutting edge issues confronting labor and employment practitioners.
Attorney Reidy represents management clients in the areas of labor and employment law and assists and counsels employers on how to prevent or properly respond to workplace complaints or claims. He received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the New England School of Law. He is a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Bar Associations, a board member of the Manchester Area Human Resources Association, and of the statewide Granite State Human Resources Conference. He is also chairman of the New Hampshire High Tech Council's Human Resources Exchange. He is the moderator of the HR online discussion group: NHLABORNET. He also serves as managing editor of the firm's e-newsletter, Good Company.
