| (August 1, 2011, Manchester, NH) - Sheehan Phinney attorney Bobbie Hantz has been elected Vice Chair of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy Board.
The Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy is a non-profit, non-partisan, independent think tank focused on state and local public policy issues that affect the quality of life for New Hampshire's citizens. The Center has as its core beliefs individual freedom and responsibility, limited and accountable government, and an appreciation of the role of the free enterprise system. The Center seeks to promote policy that supports these beliefs by providing information, research, and analysis.
Hantz's practice concentrates in land use and family law matters. She also handles litigation of business, insurance and construction disputes and contested estate, probate and privacy matters. She appears in state and federal courts in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. Prior to joining the firm, Bobbie was a partner with Gottesman & Hollis, PA in Nashua, NH.
While at the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago Kent College of Law, Bobbie was recognized as a Lowell Thomas Scholar. In 1999, she received the Nashua YWCA Distinguished Women Leader Award. Bobbie received the NH Trial Lawyers' 2003 Special Recognition Award and was named Women's Business Boston Reader's Choice "Top Ten Lawyers" in 2008. Bobbie is a past president and was a fifteen year board member of the Nashua Children's Home and is a board member of the Manchester Community Music School.
