(April 1, 2011, Manchester, NH) - Robert E. Dastin, a shareholder with the law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA was recently re-appointed to the Manchester Airport Authority by Mayor Theodore L. Gatsas for a three year term.
The Manchester Airport Authority is a seven member volunteer advisory board whose mission is to assist the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport with meeting the air transportation needs of the region while continuing to strike a balance between the development of the airport and the quality of life issues that are so important to local citizens.
As one of Sheehan Phinney's senior members, Dastin has often been recognized by his peers and the media as one of the state's legal leaders. He has repeatedly been recognized in Woodward/White's Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Law. His legal practice focuses on professional practices and private companies assisting with the formation then and with general representation across a wide range of organizational and business issues. He also acts as local counsel to law firms and businesses across the country in obtaining liquor licenses within the State of New Hampshire, and serves as a national resource as to ‘best practices' with respect to liquor licensing in NH. Dastin has spent a significant amount of time working with many not-for-profit organizations.
Throughout his career, Dastin has devoted a significant amount of time to many organizations in Manchester and the State of New Hampshire. He currently serves as Director of Selective Service for the State of NH; a Director of Amoskeag Industries, Inc.; a Trustee of NeighborWorks Greater Manchester and of the Palace Theatre Advisory Board; a Director and past President of the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Assn.; Co-Chair of Manchester MOVES Inc. and a founder and Secretary of Hampshire First Bank, among many others.
