| (June 25, 2009, Manchester, NH) - Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA shareholder Christopher Cole was elected as a member of the Leadership New Hampshire Board of Trustees. Cole will serve on the Board for a three year term. He is a 2007 graduate of Leadership New Hampshire.
Developed in 1992, Leadership New Hampshire is an educational program designed to increase civic engagement and strengthen communities through connecting and educating a diverse pool of engaged or emerging leaders about the State of New Hampshire. Participants explore the issues and challenges which are critical to the state of New Hampshire in an interactive setting. The year-long program allows participants to interact with top state officials, judges, educators, prison inmates, students, artists, corporate leaders and others who receive, deliver and/or make decisions and policy that affect services.
Cole's practice focuses in the area of business litigation and intellectual property. He has successfully handled cases involving trade secrets related to: software and software applications; the alleged misuse of company proprietary information and predatory employee hiring; trademark and trade dress infringement in connection with the look and feel of graphical user interfaces and consumer product packaging; and numerous other business, employee and employment related disputes.
Cole was recognized by his peers in a poll conducted by the New Hampshire Bar Association and published in New Hampshire Magazine (2003) in the "Smartest Lawyer I Know" category. He also named a New England Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation and listed in Chambers USA for commercial litigation. Cole is a former member of the Board of Directors of Kids Voting New Hampshire, and is a member of the Hearings Committee for the New Hampshire Bar Professional Conduct Committee.
