(January 17, 2008. Manchester, NH.) - The law firm of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA is pleased to announce that Attorneys Robert M. Cohen and Janet B. Fierman have joined the firm's Boston office effective January 1, 2008.
Founding partners of the Boston law firm of Cohen & Fierman, LLP, Bob joins Sheehan Phinney Of Counsel and Janet as a Shareholder.
Janet Fierman previously chaired Cohen & Fierman's Business and Construction practices and was its Managing Partner. She will continue to concentrate her practice in the areas of Business, Closely Held and Family Owned Corporations, Life Science and Technology, International Law and Design and Construction. She received her B.A., with honors, from Swarthmore College, her M.I.A. from Columbia University School of International Affairs and her J.D., with honors, from Boston University School of Law. She was a member of the Boston University Law School Law Review. Prior to her legal career, she was an International Trade Economist with the United States Department of Commerce and also served as Law Clerk for Chief Justice Edward Hennessey of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Fierman is a member and current Chairman of the Town of Brookline Building Commission and a member of The Boston Club currently serving as Vice Chair of the Governance Committee. She frequently publishes articles and serves as a presenter on various panels.
Bob Cohen previously chaired Cohen & Fierman's Real Estate and Restaurant practice. He will continue to concentrate his practice in the areas of Real Estate; Zoning, Planning and Land Use; Private Companies and Professional Practices. Business Law and Taxation. He received his B.A., with honors, from the University of Massachusetts, his LL.M. from Harvard University and his J.D. from Georgetown University where he was a Law Journal Editor. He is a member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Housing Association.
