(March 29, 2006. Manchester, NH.) - Bruce A. Harwood, a shareholder at Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, will be a panelist at a regional symposium on the new bankruptcy laws. The conference, "Responsibilities of Professionals under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act," will be held on May 25, 2006, at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse in Boston. The conference is put on by the American Bankruptcy Institute, of which Harwood is a member.
This new law brings changes to bankruptcy professionals from all sides. The distinguished panel will address many of these issues as they affect debtors' counsel, creditors' counsel, trustees, U.S. Trustees, creditors' committees, debtors in possession and investment bankers.
For 25 years, Harwood has practiced almost exclusively in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency. He restructures debt and reorganizes businesses inside and outside of formal bankruptcy proceedings. He also mediates disputes arising in connection with debtor-creditor relations. He has consistently been named one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward-White in the field of bankruptcy.
