| (February 2, 2010, Manchester, NH) - Sheehan Phinney attorney David W. Allen has been named one of New Hampshire's 40 Under Forty emerging leaders. For the ninth year, the New Hampshire Union Leader and New Hampshire Business and Industry Association have honored 40 professionals under age 40 that are making a difference in the state. Honorees were selected based upon their professional accomplishments and contributions to the community.

David concentrates his practice on venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and private offerings of securities, while counseling clients on day-to-day matters such as corporate governance and commercial contracts. He also represents clients in litigation matters that involve securities law. In 2009 David was selected as a Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers in the area of Securities & Corporate Finance. Also in 2009 David was appointed by Governor Lynch to the Citizen Funded Election Task Force, a bipartisan group formed to study and propose legislation for the public funding of political campaigns in New Hampshire. David serves on the board of directors of New Horizons for New Hampshire, has served on a search committee for the Superintendent of the Manchester School District, and while working in state government, was a member of the United States Attorney's Office Identity Theft Task Force.
